The Ratel are well made hunting boots, great insole, very silent. The sole is soft making them very comfortable, not sure if it will last longer, we will have to see. The track is similar to vellies not your typical hiking boot knobbies. Word of caution, they run on the small side, I usually have a 9 to 9.5 and I got the 10 which fits snug.
